Born & raised on the west side of the 5th District in Kansas City, Missouri. He has 12+ years of experience in the not-for-profit sector, holds a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Kansas City Art Institute, received his Community Coaching Certification from Fowler International Academy of Professional Coaching. Currently, serving as president of his neighborhood association since 2018 & was recognized as the '2021 Innovator to Watch' by Grinnell College.
Carl seeks to revive the west side of District 5 by using the Arts & Nature to address environmental & social injustices; ultimately turning the westside of District 5 into an organic Silicon Valley. He sees the blighted/vacant properties in the area as canvases (assets) to create revenue-generators for the neighborhoods.
The goal is to have each neighborhood generate revenue (becoming self-sustaining), & compensating residents who take on roles such as president, vice president, secretary, treasure, etc.) in their neighborhoods, & compensate other residents for living in the neighborhood. Creating value to each property in the neighborhood & adding an extra bonus for living in the neighborhood!
